Taipei 2011 (Day 4)-20 Sep 2011

We woke up early early in the morning for hotel's complimentary breakfast before going for our soymilk & 2nd round of breakfast at Yong He again!We love the soymilk there!

Our itinenary of the day begins with Beitou for hotsprings!This is something I'm looking forward to!To rest & relax~ On the way there we saw interesting traffic,very tame dogs,people using the scenery there as a drawing background & the weather there is fab!L loves the weather there,she say it's natural aircon!Haha.

We chose to go to a private hotspring in one of the hotels here as the public one is tooo erm public?Anyway it isn't too expensive anyway,it was around $20/hr for 1 room!

After our 2hrs of hotspring-ing we headed to explore the area!Went to Hell Valley(the temperature there is so high the water surface was steaming constantly!) & tried the hot spring egg which L was talking about!But we were a little disappointed cause it's cold! :/ The store owner kept the hot spring egg in the fridge after cooking.I was expecting it to be freshly cooked & warm or something!

Next on our itinenary was Danshui!Didn't spend much time there though cause we still had Wu Fen Pu & Shilin on our list!Walked just a little bit,bought some souvenirs for family & friends,took neoprints & WFP was next!The old uncle at the neoprint shop was very friendly & funny!Lol.He even helped us choose the neoprint machine and decorated our neprint,very hip!

Shilin was our last stop for the day,it's also our last night market for this trip!But it's a pity that we were both VERY tired by day 4,we didnt walk as much as other night markets I feel!Bought some pineapple tarts as well to give as souvenirs (: As you can see,we're eating lesser & lesser each night!That's something I dont understand;I thought we would eat more & more!We heard from a taxi driver that Shilin is one of the most famous in the area so we would expect to see many tourists from Japan,Hong Kong etc as compare to other night markets!L wanted to visit Shilin cause they might be moved underground soon & the taxi driver said that they WILL be moved;the government there has already made the decision.Thus,by the next time we are able to visit again,we might only be able to see a underground Shilin! ): It's gonna feel so different.

Oh & I slept super early for day4;was really very very tired.Told L i'll take a 5mins rest first & ended up not waking up after that!Lol.She woke me up at 2 or 3am in the morning to discuss a bit about last day's itinenary but honestly speaking I can't even think straight already.& eventually we decided to skip a temple so that we could wake up later.A bit wasted I know but it's just too tiring.It gets a bit more sad as each day passes cause the trip is ending! :/

Taipei 2011 (Day 3)-19 Sep 2011

Day 3!We woke up early in the morning to get breakfast at Yong He Dou Jiang which L said was really famous.Their soymilk is really nice,I like!It's not too sweetened like those in SG.I'm also quite impressed with their rice roll cause it's like sushi & very firm!But too bad it's a bit tasteless & only the ingredients inside is nice.

Our next station was Longshan Temple!That's a place I insisted to go & we got some amulets from there as well!Feel better after praying too. (:

& I also bought my 2nd pair of shoes at the shops near the temple.It looks nice & is quite comfortable! :D

Headed back to Ximending,L had her 2nd share of Yong He Dou Jiang while I tried the bittergourd juice!We spent some time looking for Ah Zhong mee sua which L said we must try!She really love those mee sua!haha.We were actually a bit irritated cause some blogger said that it's just 2minutes walk from our hotel but we could not find it after walking round & round!I think we even walked out of Ximending at one point!In the end we found it in some corner which is really 2mins away from our hotel!I thought we had already covered the whole of Ximending for the first 2days by the amount of walking we had done in that area but it turned out there's still corners that we totally missed out on!

After lunch we headed out to Breeze;saw from some blog that there are shops selling 女人我最大 products,which we could not find.The only shops we see are high end brand like LV,Chanel,Gucci etc. I was expecting something like Far East Plaza,not Paragon style of shopping mall :/ Haha.Even their toilet is super poshed with super glam decor,even the waiting area has a sofa for you to rest 0.0 I've never ever seen toilet of such standard in SG before.I know we are both quite noob & we really spent some time figuring out how to flush/turn on the tap cause of the design.Their flushing system was super high tech okay.At the entrance they even had these sensors which show the number of people in the mall cause they have a maximum capacity of XX pax in the mall at any one time.

Headed to East Metro Mall after that & L had initially expected to buy a lot from there but it turned out to be a really a quiet place!We walked from 1 station to another!On the way we had afternoon tea to rest & I got my caffeine!I realised I need my daily dose of caffeine to stay awake!Didnt had my caffeine on the 4th day & I was dead tired by supper time!

We went on to ShiDa & GongGuan night market after that.Hmm I was expecting something like Raohe night market but it turned out otherwise.Those 2 night markets were not easy to walk cause we got lost quite a couple of times?I dont know where I was going seriously & it's not the exciting feeling but..irritating feeling.We were both tired by then & I didnt want to waste time walking the same lanes over & over again.& We didnt see as much good food as when we were at Raohe night market.Raohe is definitely e night market I wanted to go again if I had the chance :D

L had another of her bubbletea again.Haha.This bubbletea shop is just located just 1-2 stores way from our hotel.& we had the much recommended Tian Tian Li.L's aunt said the uncle very nice & friendly. :D & the food is really nice!

& this is supper for the 3rd night!I was very disappointed cause I feel we can eat so much more than this!LOL.L went back to Ah Zhong to get their mee sua!

End of day 3!I'm not uploading all the pics here cause it makes blogging VERY slow & I've to wait for a couple of seconds each time I edit the sentences/shift the pictures & that makes me VERY irritated!That's also why I take quite some time to update & complete each blog post :/

Taipei 2011 (Day 2)-18 Sep 2011

Day2!L & I woke up early in the morning before heading to the complimentary healthy breakfast provided by the hotel (: The spread is actually not bad,but I only like the scrambled eggs.Lol.You can also choose to have either coffee or orange juice & make your own toast! :D

There were many people queuing for e movies very early in the morning!

Headed to Starbucks next for our second round of breakfast & for the caffeine as well!The Starbucks at Ximending was a freaking 4storeys! 0.0 It's a nice place to people watch if only we had more time on our hand. They also have cute souvenirs like Starbucks gummy & Starbucks homemade cookies which I totally forgot to buy til I saw the pictures after coming back to SG.

Even their KFC was a freaking 4-5 storeys! We were both very amazed by how big/tall their restaurants/cafes are,as compared to those in SG.

Found our way to their 24hr Carrefour after that, with the help of the many maps that L has printed out from Google.Their Carrefour is like..at least 7 storeys if I remember correctly & it has a very wide variety of things for us to choose from! We bought egg pudding to give as souvenirs cause that's something you cant find in SG!I think taiwanese really like egg pudding cause they even have egg pudding drink!

Before heading back to the hotel we went to Cosmed to get masks & also shopped a little at Ximending.The masks there are so much cheaper than SG! :D I also bought my first pair of new shoes there,but not very comfortable though.Had to limp back to the hotel after the whole day of walking at Wu Fen Pu cause it's soooo painful ):

After putting our things back at the hotel,we headed out again for Taipei 101 & had Din Tai Fung over there!I think it's very obvious we're tourists because the people who frequent DTF are mostly families,not young adults like us!Oh & the service at DTF is AWESOME!Only one word to describe,it's something I've never ever experienced in SG before.

We took cab to Wu Fen Pu after that due to time constraints& this is the only pic of WFP for the day cause we were both busy shopping after that :/ haha.I regret not buying a lot of things cause it's sooo cheap over there!By the end of the trip I only bought around 5pieces whie L got close to 20pieces!The only minus point was that there was MANY bikes zooming around & there were many times we had to drag each other into stores at the side for our own safety haha.

Headed to Raohe night market after that & you know how long we were looking for that place?! -.- A couple of blogs stated that it is just a bridge away but we could not find that bridge at all.Taking a cab would be ridiculous since it is supposedly just a few mins walk away & we were really lost but still,we refused to ask for directions.Lol.But anyway we managed to find it in the end.After walking round & round & round.I actually quite like walking round looking for places overseas cause you would not know what you would find at the next corner,everything's so exciting!

Our first stop at the local night market was Okonomiyaki!The uncle was very nice & friendly!It's also the only store where we sat down & eat,the rest were for takeaways back at the hotel cause our legs couldnt take it anymore.

The banana waffle is very much recommended cause it has been on a tv show before & even the president has been there!Plus the owner was very nice & made us milk tea while we were waiting for our order!SOOO nice right?! :D

& this is our supper for the night & sad to say,it gets lesser everyday.Dont know why though.Lol.Plus I think Raohe night market is nice cause it's quite organized in a way.Just 2 very long lanes at least you would not get lost;just go on one lane then walk back the other lane & you would get back to where you started.

& tadah,this is the 小人袜 I bought with the black monster in mind.Wahaha.mostly for ex-collegaues still at MBS & my mother took a few also.So cute right?!

L is super happy with the clothes that she has bought!We love the place so much we decided to squeeze WFP in another day of our itinenary! :D

& this is the end of day 2!
